We met in seminary, each of us working towards a Master in Divinity. Whether by accident or God’s design, we were placed together in a small group for one particular spirituality class. Even with a range of personalities, we had no trouble diving right in and challenging each other to the next level.
Clear from the start, our personalities drove us in different ways. Dan Ward has the largest personality, while Mathew Panattoni (aka Uni-T) and Matthew Wimer (aka Double-T) hang in the back. Don’t let this deceive you: the Matt’s have no problem making themselves heard when the occasion calls for it.
Clear from the start, each of these guys bring to the table a powerful element that has bound this group together. With his constantly searching mind and desire for growth, Dan excels at asking those difficult and thought provoking questions. Even though Mathew/Uni-T is the quietest of the three, he always interjects the witty one-liners that creates laughter . . . and yet, deep moments of reflection. With an array of interests (musical, writing, coding, gaming, etc.), Matthew/Double-T brings insight and creativity.
Each of these men are fathers and husbands happily married to the loves of their lives. Mathew/Uni-T has 4, Dan has 2, and Matthew/Double-T has 1. As Christians and spiritual leaders in their respective communities, these four have branched into the world of blogging to share their insights, struggles, profound questions, and deep revelations that have bound and guided them through their lives.
Join the conversation! It is through community—whether local, a-far, or online—that wisdom benefits. Though this blog is authored by us, we cherish your insights and thoughts for it is from them that we begin to see the world beyond our own perspectives.
Dan Ward is the glue that keeps a community together. After years of living his life for other stuff, Dan found his greatest passion and love in the person of Jesus. With a Masters in Social Psychology from Wisconsin-Madison, Dan is a life-long learner who seeks to guide everyone to the depth of passion he has found in Christ. Never one to take sides, Dan props up everyone with a humility and strength that can only be found in the greatest of Christian leaders. With his wife and two kids, Dan paves the way through difficulty and struggle, modeling the ultimate faith in the God who grants him strength.
Mathew Panattoni, also known as Uni-T, is often quiet where others are loud. As a lover of the outdoors, he frequently hangs back in groups. His love of solitude and deep humility produce profound moments of wisdom which deeply impact every group to which he belongs. Mat’s eyes stay on Jesus, never wavering. When life seems to get too complicated, he points steadily back to the one who lifts his burdens. Uni-T teaches, loves, learns, and serves in every fiber of his being.
Matthew Wimer, also know as Double-T, loves a good debate. He will carry the flag of Jesus and adds a moderately conservative bent into any discussion. You can tell he really loves you if he starts to get under your skin. He receives the gift of humility from the awesome shadow his wife’s faith casts, loves his new son with no bounds, and makes incredible music on a variety of instruments. Double-T learns, teaches, loves, and supports all day everyday.
